As I have said before theMayor only works for the rich. Fining strikers isdx obscene and disgusting. The mayor should be ashamed of himself and pay the fines personally or have them thrown out of court. disgusting

Imagine the Mayor of Providence is engaging in anti-union activism and activities in a state known for its labor organizing. That is effectively what Brett Smiley's administration is committing with these actions. This is effectively a union-busting mayor.

This is egregious! What is wrong with these people ( meaning Smiley and Butler admin and Blackstone Blvd residents). Have they no mercy? Or sense of justice? It’s exhausting.

I am one of the most anti-noise people on earth. Providence is shockingly loud—loud cars, leaf blowers, and all manner of industrial noise is a real problem. But I would have no problem with these workers making as much damn noise as they want. The mayor does seem to work for the rich, and for the real estate industry.

What an astounding police action. Ten thousand taxpayers living in Providence should go to 345 Blackstone Blvd and join the picket, every day until the hospital negotiates with the workers. I am going there today at lunchtime. And tomorrow, and the next day. In a sense taking this action is more useful than exercising our purely imaginary power to change the course of ourPresident's march toward the 19ty century.
