I agree the net can be cast wider, but I am speaking at this event as an open atheist and humanist. I agree that Christian Nationalism is an existential threat, and I give credit to the organization for having the conversation "in house" as it were - as Christian denominations confronting what is essentially a Christian issue. But this is of course just a first pass. There is so much more to be done.
I see that this is being held by the RI State Council of Churches, but why is there no representation from Jewish, Muslim, and atheist leadership?
Christian Nationalism is an existential threat to ALL non-Christians. There should be a wider representation of other beliefs/non-belief.
