I spoke after Steve, and said homelessness is the result of bad economic policy and growing inequality. it is e smptom of capitalism as currently practiced, it is not the problem. Ending poverty is the only way to yend homelessness.
Thanks Steve and Greg. Yes, the problem we have is market failure, a housing market that only serves the wealthy. But you're also right that a crucial component of the problem is blaming the victims of that market failure for their plight. Without that rationalization for inaction, we would end homelessness.
