Thanks to the authors. I have been studying business climates for 20 years and have reached the samer conclusion. Your businessd c,iate ranking is based on how much you weill give to the rich and increase pollution and has essentially no affect on economic activity in thestate, economic activity depending on history, natural resources, ecducation, public infrastructure. So in reality, as Davies and Crowley note, cutting taxers on the rich, reducing state investments in infrastructure health, education, and a healthy environment, actually harms theeconomy.

I attended one of the hearings on the tax incresse on the 1%. RIPEC and the Chamber of Commerce both lied repeatedly in their testimony, using the same old tired neoloiberal excuses that have been proppagated fro 50 years and are still just flat out lies. Some of it was truly LOL stupid. The problem is that many legislators consider RIPEC to be a useful source of information because they have heard the media repeat the neo liberal lies for 50 years. I keep hoping that legislative leadership will finally figure out the what RIPEC and thre Chamber of Commerce want benefits the few and really harms most Rhode Islanders and the State.
